Come join us for an after-school rendition of Wild Weaves, adapted for our favorite people between the ages of 10 and 14.

We'll explore eccentric and wonderful ways to sculpt and play with fiber over the course of 8 weeks, delving deep into weaving on a mini loom, hand sewing and embroidery to create fantastical outlines, shapes and forms. We'll add additional design elements as desired (anything goes!), and walk away with a work of art or two, ready to display on a door, wall or backpack.  

September 20th through November 8th (8 sessions)

Wednesdays 3:30 to 5PM

$180 / participant + $65 materials fee (includes a mini loom and starter weaving tools to take home)

All materials are provided.

Ruth Irving is a mixed media sculpture and teacher based out of Westchester, New York. She teaches ceramics and weaving from her studio in Yonkers and at various locations. Her recent body of work focuses on plant life and cells, with a focus on mushrooms. IG @ruthirving
